the lower portion of this tall vase has
a considerably greater wall thickness
than the domed upper part.
the two were joined and 1,5cm
deep groves were then carved into the
thicker bottom half of the piece.
with its eccentric chimney-like neck,
the vessel conjures up the image of
industrial architecture.
iron ore particles in the clay create
a stunning natural decoration where
they interact with the celadon glaze
